The new revisions of the Annexes of the European Union's chemical legislation with regards to nanomaterials will provide more structure and clarity, but they will also force manufacturers, importers and downstream users to put substantial effort into understanding the details of what should and should not be done.

This decree regulates the rational and efficient use of energy, so that the country has greater energy efficiency to ensure full and timely energy supplies, competitiveness of the Colombian energy market, consumer protection and promotion of non-conventional sources of energy. Additionally, this decree creates an Intersectoral Commission for the Rational and Efficient Use of Energy and Non-Conventional Energy Sources.

This decree ratifies the full force of the Regulation of the General Electricity Law contained in Decree No. 555-02 dated July 19, 2002 and amended by Decree 749-02 of September 19, 2002. The amendments are listed within this decree.
